Getting Started with PolyWorks|DataLoop API

Welcome to the PolyWorks|DataLoop API documentation.

This documentation is structured with three main sections that you can always access from the tabs in the top menu:

• Guides
• Recipes (commented snippets of code)
• PolyWorks|DataLoop API Reference (swagger/OpenAPI format)

Programming language

The examples you will find across Guides and Recipes are in Python, but the PolyWorks|DataLoop API is not restricted to this language. In fact, you can use almost every programming language that can support PolyWorks|DataLoop API calls.

In the PolyWorks|DataLoop API Reference tab, you can catch a sneak peak of the 20+ languages that can be used with the API by visualizing them in the list on the top right hand side of the screen.

We recommend that you consult at least once the Fundamental guides prior to jumping into the code. This will put into context many of the concepts that are used throughout the PolyWorks|DataLoop API.
